Wow, has Lita had a dramatic summer. First, news of her split from husband Jim Gillette (of Nitro). Then, some sources began mistakenly reporting that she had died in a jet ski accident. Read more about her response here.

Lita Ford has been in the news lately. She gave an interviw to Jeb Wright of Classic Rock Revisited about her 2009 release of Wicked Wonderland and how she wasn't entirely happy with the outcome--nor were some of her fans. Lita promises, however, that a new album is underway and fans will be more pleased with the direction as it will be a "real" Lita Ford album. BlabberMouth has more snippets from the interview here. It will be interesting to see (hear) the result!

Lita Ford is confirmed to play at the M3 Rock Festival this May in Maryland. Other acts include Whitesnake, Tesla and Warrant so it will be sure to please all of us 80s fans out there.

Interesting enoughly, there are now not one but two movies floating around about the Runaways. According to the Sydney Morning Herald out of Australia, Runaways bassist Victory Tischler-Blue has put out a film that shows some of the less-than-pleasant realities of being in the all-girl band. According to Tischler-Blue, Joan Jett's management company "made the release of [her] film very, very difficult. They destroyed the first version, which is all about the music, the performances, the songs, by putting a claim against the film. [She] lost the rights to the Runaways' music, so [she] had to go back and re-edit to make a completely different film.'" The movie's name is Edgeplay and there are a couple videos floating around for you to check out.

If you're a fan of Joan Jett and the rest of the Runaways as well as Lita Ford, you might be interested in the Runaways Movie which will come out on the 19th of this month. THe movie stars Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning as founders Joan and Cherie. I cannot believe how Dakota has grown! You can find more information on the official Runaways movie website.

Wow! Big news from Lita Ford. Finally, she will be releasing a new album, Wicked Wonderland. This fourth work from Lita ford is due out on October 6 and is the first release since 1995. She has already released a new single on the airwaves and her MySpace: Crave. You can preorder Wicked wonderland, now. Lita will also be touring to promote the new music!
